Hi there. I’m traveling this week, and have two more Los Angeles area bookstore readings/Q&As for Lou Reed: The King of New York:

—Tonight (Friday) 10/25 at 7 pm at Book Soup, 8818 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, CA w/my pal, fellow author, and longtime music journalism comrade Craig Marks (LA Times, SPIN, Blender, etc.)

—Monday 10/28 (6 pm) at Village Well Books & Coffee in Culver City, CA w/ my pal, fellow writer and esteemed archival record producer Andy Zax (Nico, John Cale, Woodstock: Back To The Garden).

These may be my final events of the year, and I haven’t met a lot of you. So I’ve decided to try a book event on Substack chat, for paid subscribers, to discuss the biography and answer any question y’all might have. I’ve started the chat now (click here) and will leave it open for a while. Jump on when you get a chance, if you’re so inclined.

If you’re more of an audiobook person, Lou Reed: The King of New York is available in that format, too. I did the voicing myself. It was my first audiobook recording, and wow … not so easy! I’ve done radio work for many years. But audiobooks another order of magnitude, and I developed an even greater respect for people who voice audiobooks professionally.
